About The Team
Chuck Ollinger is the original, driving force behind the Heroic Love movie project.
As a lifelong friend of the Gruters brothers, Chuck was intimately familiar with the amazing life stories of Guy and Terry Gruters and always held the conviction that their remarkable story “should be made into a movie someday”.
After having retired from a very successful career in business, while working with an editor on his own memoir, Chuck resolved that the time had finally come for the Gruters’ story to reach the world. In December of 2015, Chuck set aside his own memoir and enlisted the support of his editor to work with him on a new project: Heroic Love.
Kathleen Trestka is a successful visual artist, poet, editor and creative director. It was while working with Chuck Ollinger on his Memoir, that she first heard the compelling story of Guy and Terry Gruters.
Deeply moved by Chuck’s recounting of the Gruters’ experiences and intrigued by his invitation to become involved with the project, Kathleen took a few days to learn more about the Gruters for herself. After reading Guy’s book and transcripts of his speeches which resonated with her on a deep, profoundly spiritual level, Kathleen told Chuck that she was all in.
Kathleen joined Chuck and became the second member of the team, serving as the project’s Creative Director.
The youngest of the three Gruters brothers and a key member of the Friends of Heroic Love team, Peter brings an unparalleled degree of insight and knowledge surrounding these real life events to the team. As a family member and one who has been actively involved in the speaking ministry of his brother Guy for more than 20 years (as well as helping to write a book of speeches) Peter’s role as a contributor and his enthusiastic support of the project remains invaluable.
Stephen Miller is an author of many published works. The team was most fortunate to recruit Stephen to be the screenwriter on this project. Stephen’s creative talent and brilliant writing are both tremendous assets that help bring the dream of seeing the story of Heroic Love realized as a major motion picture one step closer.
Fred Fierst is an attorney with a great deal of experience in entertainment industry law. As the vision for the project began to take shape, the team soon realized that having a legal professional who was familiar with the ins and outs of the movie industry would be very helpful. Fred stepped up at the perfect time to fill that role and continues to offer the most helpful advice and counsel.
Ed Smith is a Creative Marketing Communications professional and owner of Solo Creative Group. Ed was recruited by the Creative Director to help the Friends of Heroic Love get the message out to a larger audience. His marketing insight and creativity have been invaluable to the team.
Ed is responsible for the design and development of our website, our advertising, the Heroic Love movie poster and other collateral materials.
Ed is a passionate supporter of the movement and brings his heart to every project.
